When I was looking for baby monitors I came across this product. Reading the specs and looking at the pictures of the monitors I was a bit disappointed because the resolution and the picture quality looked terrible. However, after using it for about 18 months, I am impressed with the product. Thinking about it, I can understand why the screen resolution is what it is - it is to save power and make the monitor run longer. You do not need a HD picture of your baby sleeping. You just need to know what they are doing and if they are crying, but you don't need to see their beautiful face in HD. I would much rather my monitor have a long battery life rather than a high resolution picture.

The rage of the monitor is fine. It works well in our town house. Sometimes the monitor does not connect immediately, but then I turn it off and back on and then it works.

The night vision is good (the picture looks the same as a day picture).

It serves our purpose well, and I have no complaints. I just hope it lasts many more years to come.

We have two kids. Our oldest is three, and this is the fourth baby monitor we've owned since we became parents. We recently returned the Arlo baby monitor because it just wasn't working for us. We immediately turned around and purchased this one! We haven't had it for long, but we LOVE this monitor! This is absolutely everything we needed from a baby monitor. We haven't had a need to test a large range, but we have had no issues carrying it around our 1400sqft home.

Pros:
- Simple and easy to understand and get the hang of.
- Very big screen.
- Good image and audio.
- Very small lag.
- Battery doesn't drain fast when off the charger.
- Large range for the camera to shift and rotate when you desire a better view.
- Screen will auto shut off after a certain time to save battery, but you can still hear. (You can adjust the auto shut off time)
- Ability for the screen to shut off means your own bedroom can stay dark during the night without constant screen light.

Cons:
- I think our temperature reader is off by several degrees, but I just keep this in mind when I glance at the screen.
- Doesn't come with a mount of any type. This is the only thing I would change!

We are so pleased with this purchase! We plan to buy an additional camera very soon.

I do not recommend buying this monitor. There are major issues with the design of the power cord, and the power port on the parent unit. After about 4 months of daily use, the cord end and the port on the parent unit started to wear out, and the power cord began to fit into the parent unit loosely, instead of tight. The weak connection means the cord has to be situated "just so" or it won't charge. Several times a night the parent unit will beep, alerting me that the battery is dead (because the power connection is too weak to charge). This thing is waking me up more than my baby! I previously had an older model of this monitor. It lasted almost a year, and then the same power connection issues happened. Both monitors were great otherwise (visibility, sound, steady camera/parent unit connection, great remote pan/zoom). I actually went with Motorola again because I thought the issue may have been a fluke, and I loved everything else about the monitor. It is a shame that seemingly the least technical part of the monitor is the poorest quality, rendering the monitor useless. I am still waiting for a replacement cord from Binatone/Motorola for my first Monitor—beware, Binatone/Motorola customer service is not very helpful, even when it is under the full year warranty! I am returning this item now, and will try a different brand. I would rate this zero if I could!

We got probably 7 or 8 different monitors and we finally landed on this one! And I love it! Now it isn't perfect but it had the least amount of cons of all the monitors we tried. We wanted on with two cameras (we bought the extra camera to hook up) for our twins. I had a lot of specifics when looking. I love that I can split screen and still have volume(one we tried had no volume when split screen). I think the screen is pretty clear (some we tried were pretty bad). One problem we have sometimes is one camera doesn't switch to night mode easily but all we have to do is go in cover the sensor for a second and then it is good. Not a big deal and doesn't happen all the time. Also I didn't love that we couldn't hang them directly on the wall. They come with these other things to hook them too. We ended up buying something else to hang them. It was only like $7 for both. Also the temperature also seems to be higher then the room actually is. But again not the worst thing. Full price these are expensive which I really didn't want to spend that much but I'm so glad we did get them. I've been really happy with them.

We have only been using this for a month but so far we absolutely love it! We had a friend recommend this monitor and she had nothing but great things to say! Great picture both day and night vision. I love the size of the screen and the camera moves around really well. The sound quality is great I don't have to have to volume very loud at all. I like the few sounds of "music" you can play our baby enjoys the heartbeat sound for comfort. It's very clear when you talk through the monitor, my husband and I talk through it to each other if one of us is in the nursery. The range is great I can walk to our mailbox or our horse barn without any issues at all! The battery does take a while to charge but I do not mind because it also last a LONG time. I have to charge ours every other night. Very much worth the price. We had a cheaper monitor and there was nothing but issues right away and eventually it wouldn't even turn on.

I'm still processing what has happened, but parents, be mindful that baby monitors are not safe from being hacked. I thought that it could only happen on a wifi connected camera so I assumed this one would be a good option. It has been a great way to monitor our baby up until this point. Yes, the camera sometimes shuts off and it picks up EVERY sound, but I don't mind that at all and don't expect perfection. But something I do expect, is that for the price of this monitor and the fact that it is made to monitor a baby, that it should have enough security features to not allow it to be hacked. Last night someone hacked into this monitor and said horrific things. I'm a bit traumatized from the experience and feel naive for trusting that a baby monitor that isn't connected to the wifi couldn't be hacked. So please be aware of this and don't buy this monitor!

Pros: Ok frames per second. Night vision is decent. Menu is easy to navigate. Has volume control buttons (doesn't have to be adjusted by the menu). The range is excellent though not what is advertised but still the best of any monitor I've tried. Battery life is very good lasting 3 to 4 hours. Good price compared to similar competitor's products.
Cons: No auto-dim function so I have to constantly adjust brightness for day and night operation through the menu. Function buttons on the front are so easily depressed that it makes to hard to handle the monitor without pushing one by accident. Monitor stand on the back appears to be flimsy and you can't adjust the position. The antenna is very difficult to dislodge and pop up. I have to use a butter knife to get it out and up. Also, the liquid crystal display is a cheap and nasty TFT which has a very restrictive viewing angle for which an adjustable stand would have been very helpful to set the best angle for viewing. And finally the camera room temperature sensor is off by 5 degrees centigrade reporting the room temp at 29 degrees when it is actually 24 degrees.
Having said that, I would recommend this unit for the money if it keeps working which seems to be a common problem with these baby monitors.

Very unsatisfied with this product. Purchased in August and as of November the parent unit will shut off unexpectedly, both on battery and plugged in. I was more or less happy until this happened. Contacted Motorola but they will only send a replacement after this unit had been returned, and I have to pay for shipping. That's all fine and good but what am I supposed to use in the mean time until a replacement gets to me?! Horrible customer service and of course just after the amazon return window closed. Will not be purchasing a Motorola product again.

Inconvénients
- La température est généralement de 3 à 4 degrés Celsius plus élevée que la température réelle, mais si vous le savez, ce n'est pas un problème.
- Chaque fois que nous allumons l'unité parents, un bip retentit pendant environ 30 secondes pendant la connexion à l'appareil photo.
- Aurait aimé une meilleure fluidité lorsque nous bourgeon la camera à l'aide du moniteur.
- La durée de vie de la pile laisse à désirer
